Former Congressman Jim Moran, who represented the 8th Congressional District from 1991 to 2015, endorses Delegate Hala Ayala for Lieutenant Governor.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Delegate Hala Ayala’s campaign for Virginia Lieutenant Governor today announced the endorsement of former Congressman Jim Moran, who represented 8th Congressional District from 1991 to 2015.

"I am so honored to be endorsed by former Congressman Jim Moran,” Said Delegate Ayala. “Congressman Moran is a giant in Virginia politics and he has spent decades as a leader in the Democratic Party advocating on behalf of everyday Virginians. I am so glad he shares my vision for a more just Commonwealth where everyone can prosper, and I look forward to working with him on a number of issues."

"I am so proud to endorse Delegate Hala Ayala for Lieutenant Governor,” Said Former Congressman Jim Moran. “Hala hasn't become such a strong leader by talking the political talk. She has walked the uphill walk. Her inner grit and moral compass have been forged from a life of hardship and challenge. But she has never given in nor given up. She has the intellectual capacity and the genuine compassion to help all Virginians rise up and fulfill our collective potential.
