WOODBRIDGE, VA — Today, Delegate Hala Ayala, Democratic Nominee for Lieutenant Governor, released ‘Gas Station,’ her first television ad of the general election. The ad is a part of a statewide communications campaign to share Hala’s story and her vision for Virginia.
“Our Commonwealth is at a crossroads, and who we elect as our future leaders this November will say everything about who we are and what we stand for,” said Delegate Hala Ayala, Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor. “Starting September 17, health care, reproductive rights, public schools, gun safety reform, workers’ rights, and more are on the ballot. As the only candidate in the race for Lieutenant Governor with the lived and legislative leadership necessary to advance Virginia’s priorities, I’ve known struggle and I’ve known success. That’s why I’ve fought so hard for everyday Virginians in the House of Delegates. As the Commonwealth’s next Lieutenant Governor, I’ll continue to build on our great work.”

I’m Hala Ayala. My story is a Virginia story.
Night shifts. Minimum wage. Pregnant, with no health care.
But with a little help and a lot of hard work, I built a career and a middle class life.
So when I got to Richmond, I made it my mission to ensure hard working Virginians have that same opportunity.
As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll build on that record to attract more good paying jobs.
So every family thrives.
