WOODBRIDGE, VA — Delegate Hala Ayala’s campaign for Virginia Lieutenant Governor today announced the endorsement of Virginia’s List, a political action committee whose mission is to raise money to support Democratic women candidates running for seats in Virginia. Delegate Ayala has also been endorsed by EMILY’s List, Higher Heights, Virginia Chapter National Organization for Women, Feminist Majority PAC, and Women of Color Coalition, which are groups dedicated to electing more women to all levels of office.
"Virginia's List is proud to support Delegate Ayala's historic candidacy for Lieutenant Governor," said Julie Jakopic, Chair of Virginia's List. "Delegate Ayala has been a champion for women and families throughout her time in office. She has been a support system and mentor to so many women in our Commonwealth who make the brave choice to run for office and make change in their communities."
“I am so grateful for the endorsement and support of Virginia’s List," said Delegate Hala Ayala. "Running for office takes a village, especially for women, and Virginia’s List has been there for me from the beginning.”
Last week, Delegate Ayala was endorsed by Governor Ralph Northam, Speaker of the House of Delegates Eileen Filler-Corn, House Majority Leader Charniele Herring, EMILY’s List, and Latino Victory Fund. They join over 80 dozens organizations, elected officials, and community leaders from across Virginia in supporting Ayala’s bid for Lieutenant Governor, including former Congressman Jim Moran, Senator Lionell Spruill, Senator Jeremy McPike, Senator Janet Howell, Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney, House Majority Whip Alfonso Lopez, House Majority Co-Whip Mike Mullin, Appropriations Committee Chair Luke Torian, Transportation Committee Chair Delores McQuinn, Delegates Besty Carr, Danica Roem, Josh Cole, Dawn Adams, Clinton Jenkins, and Kathleen Murphy, and Higher Heights for America, which is dedicated to electing more Black women.
